PROPERTIES l Excellent tensile strength. l Easy to locate with a metal detector (30–60 cm), a CAT 3 cable detector (100–200 cm) and an electronic CAT3 transmitter (200–400 cm). The depth at which the tape can be located depends on the soil quality. l Very well suitable for excavating cables. l If the cable/pipeline to be marked is more than 250 metres long, the signal tape must be extended. An extension is easy to implement by means of two rivets. An extended tape enables continuous signal over the joint. l The beginning of a cable or pipe and thus the end of the signal tape is easy to find by means of a sign plate so that an electronic transmitter can be attached to the tape, if necessary.
